- Only officers holding a regular post in Central/State Government, Union Territories, recognised research institutes, autonomous or statutory bodies and PSUs. Senior Environmental Engineer: analogous post, or 5 years regular service in Level 11, plus a Master's degree in Engineering in a related field with 10 years' experience in pollution control. Environmental Engineer: analogous post, or 5 years regular service in Level 10, plus a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8 years' (or Master's with 6 years') experience in pollution control. Assistant Environmental Engineer: analogous Level-10 post plus a degree in Engineering with 2 years' experience in pollution control, or a Master's degree in Engineering. Related fields include Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Biomedical, Water Resources, Remote Sensing, GIS and Hydrology. Private, unemployed, retired and contractual applicants are not considered.
