- Post Graduate qualification in the relevant discipline from a reputed institution; the PG requirement can be relaxed for candidates with relevant experience in public or reputed organisations. Experience ranges from 2 years (Project Associate) to 15 years (Senior Project Advisor) in project engineering and management; Sr. Technical Advisor and Project Support Engineer slots are for retired Central/State Government engineering officers. One year of experience relaxation for M.Tech/MBA holders and two years for PhD holders. Civil-side areas include highways and roads, bridges and elevated structures (structural expert), buildings (structural engineer), geotechnical and foundation, water resources, sewerage treatment systems, solid waste management, inland waterways, ports and marine structures (coastal/hydraulic engineer), rail and metro systems, traffic and transportation, pavement design, and civil project management.
