The consultant will review safety at NHPC power stations and construction sites, with a focus on tunnelling, underground works, excavation, blasting, heavy lifting and the safety review of engineering designs and temporary works. Civil engineering graduates with an industrial safety diploma are eligible. - Full-time engineering degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Fire & Safety, Electronics, Production, Chemical, Instrumentation or any other branch of engineering, plus a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or PG Diploma in Industrial Safety from a Central or Regional Labour Institute. The candidate must have retired from the power, mining or infrastructure sector, government or a state department at General Manager level or above (minimum E-8 or Pay Matrix Level 14), with at least 10 years of experience managing safety in construction and operation, or tunnelling and underground construction works.
