POWERGRID, a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, has issued Advt. No. CC/03/2026 dated 24/09/2026 for recruitment of fresh engineering graduates as Engineer Trainee-2027 in Electrical, Civil, Computer Science and Electronics disciplines through GATE 2027. Civil candidates need a full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks and a qualifying score in GATE 2027 paper CE. Upper age limit is 28 years as on 31/03/2027 with relaxations as per Government of India norms. Number of vacancies, reservation and the selection process will be notified on the POWERGRID website before online registration, which is tentatively expected in March/April 2027. Candidates must register for GATE 2027 now and later apply online through the Career section of www.powergrid.in using their GATE 2027 registration details. A service bond of Rs. 5,00,000 (Rs. 2,50,000 for SC/ST/PwBD) for three years after training applies.
