APPSC opens 503 Assistant Executive Engineer posts on 2 November: what civil engineers need to know

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) will accept online applications for 503 Assistant Executive Engineer posts from 2 November 2026. The window closes at 11:59 pm on 22 November 2026. The posts were announced in Brief Notification No. 27/2026, dated 13 October 2026. Most of the posts are for civil engineers. Water Resources has the largest share, with 224 posts across its civil and mechanical cadres. Panchayat Raj & Rural Development has 100, Roads & Buildings (Civil) 75, Rural Water Supply & Sanitation 73, Public Health & Municipal Engineering 21 and Tribal Welfare Engineering 6. Roads & Buildings also has 4 electrical posts. Who can apply: candidates need a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or AMIE Sections A and B in civil. Panchayat Raj & Rural Development and Tribal Welfare Engineering also accept a mechanical engineering degree. The qualification must be held on the date of the detailed notification. The age limit is 18 to 44 years as on 1 July 2026, with relaxation as per rules. No work experience is needed. Pay: the posts carry a scale of Rs 57,100 to Rs 1,47,760. How selection works: there is a single online exam (CBRT) with no screening test. It has three papers of 150 marks each: General Studies, and two engineering papers. One third of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer. Certificate verification follows. What is still to come: APPSC said the detailed notification, with the application fee, the category-wise break-up and full instructions, would be posted on or before 2 November 2026.
