OPSC's 750 civil AEE posts close on 11 November, with no written exam

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) is recruiting 750 Assistant Executive Engineers (Civil) in Group A of the Odisha Engineering Service. Online applications opened on 22 October 2026 and close at 5:00 pm on 11 November 2026. The posts come under Advertisement No. 13 of 2026-27, dated 9 October 2026, which also has 8 mechanical posts, for 758 in all. The civil posts are in the Water Resources, Works, and Housing & Urban Development departments. By category, they split as 374 unreserved, 61 SEBC, 83 SC and 232 ST. No written exam: selection is on the GATE score in Civil Engineering, weighted at 90%, and an interview, weighted at 10%, followed by document verification. Candidates need a valid GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026 civil engineering score with a QR-coded scorecard. Who can apply: a B.E. or B.Tech in civil engineering, or AMIE (Civil), plus that GATE score. Candidates must be able to read, write and speak Odia. The age limit is 21 to 42 years as on 1 January 2026. The notification allows 5 years of relaxation for SC, ST, SEBC, women and ex-servicemen, and 10 years for persons with disabilities. Freshers can apply. Pay and fee: the post is at Pay Level 12, Cell 1 of the Odisha Revised Scales of Pay Rules, 2017. The notification lists no application fee. What comes next: OPSC has indicated document verification in the first week of December 2026, as a tentative date.
